- Masters of Arts in English Literature (MAEL)
About the Programme:
The PG program in English Literature is a Two-Year course with options for multiple exits. The program seeks to inculcate a philosophical understanding of texts and their inseparable connection to culture and existence. An in-depth study of texts from older to contemporary times will provide a holistic understanding of the need for art in expressing human concerns and the interconnectedness with history, society, and human development. It is also invariably a study of the function of literature in addressing individual and societal concerns especially in terms of well-being, equality, and justice.
